Description

Specially manufactured for installation into the DUAL FUSE® Drilling waste collection, storage and transportation systems, the R-Valve is a pneumatically operated Diverter valve that facilitates diversion of flow between material collection points. The valve is operated by compressed air. This R-Diverter valve is a permanent fail-safe solution to durably pneumatically convey semi. solid materials. It makes temporary or make shift, piping and valves included in the assembly to clear the lines of blockages redundant. The R-Diverter valve enables instant diversion of flow between drilling waste materials collection points including the DUAL FUSE® ISO tank containers or Skips and other collection and conveying units. The R-Valve maintains a full pipe bore for material movement at all times unlike butterfly valves typically of a valve design that potentially could disrupt the flow and contribute to the incidence of material stagnation.

Applications

  • When using DUAL FUSE® systems
(Deepwater and offshore environments using water or oil-based drilling fluids)

Benefits

  • Ensures reliability through simple two-position operation
  • Eliminates associated risk of blockage commonly associated with gate or butterfly valves

Functionality Explained

The R-Valve has been manufactured to suit the DUAL FUSE® system. It is an air-actuated rotational valve with two operating positions: Divert (D) and Through (T). The valve has been designed to maintain a smooth full-bore transfer at all times at conveying pressure up to 101.5 psi [7 bar], preventing material build-up that could lead to pipe blockage.

The valve is pneumatically actuated and is normally operated manually but can be connected to station from where the valve is remotely operated.
